Kaa Carbon Print

This is an original print of Kaa from Rudyard Kipling's 'The Jungle Book' and is one out of three mentors Mowgli has, alongside Bagheera the panther and Baloo the sloth bear. I was inspired by 'The Outsong in the Jungle', a poem which acts as a farewell from them as Mowgli finally leaves for the man village.

Each print is an original and slightly different, created using artist's carbon copy paper (sometimes called Transfer Paper). The Transfer Paper has a thin layer of ink which when pressed/drawn on leaves or transfers the ink onto the paper below it, leaving a unique mark; not too dissimilar to other monoprinting techniques.

The size of the print is approx '130mm x 180mm. It comes wrapped in a bio-degradable sleeve and backed with card.
